Software

Photoshop is one of the best image-editing programs I have ever used, I started using it when it was Photoshop 5.5 and I still regularly find new and better ways of doing things. Thanks to the developer at adobe the current eleventh iteration of the program was officially announced on 23 September 2008 and was released on 15 October 2008. It’s now called PS’CS” 4 (Creative Suite). Due to its popularity, "Photoshop" has become and a genericized trademark for graphics editing software. I will be putting up some works so you can comment on them and I will also be adding some links to online tutorials which will help you improve your skills.

Editing, the last program I used was Adobe Premier but over the last year I have been using i-movie and Final Cut Pro, i-movie is a nice and easy piece of software which lets you upload your movie, cut and add effects, transitions and add sound or take away sound from your movie. But it only has one video track and two audio tracks, which in some ways limits your creativity. So we started using F.C.P which is now the industry standard software and has up to 60 video tracks and 42 audio which means if you have the right computer you can edit to the quality of Sin City or any of the top movies out there. With a little bit of know-how and determination that is.

Here are some of the movies you guys have made in F.C.P and some in i-movie; can you tell which is which?

Here are some good links for online tutorials.Links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Cut_Pro

Super Tech

Hello and welcome to my Blog, where I will be talking about films, games, my comic (Rise of the fallen), software, hardware and giving you information on where to find the best tutorial online. Also why your portfolio should be as good as your C.V.

First off let’s start on a light note: games. Is anyone else looking forward to the fifth instalment of Resident Evil 5 on the PS3? (Yes, I still play games, NO it’s not sad.)

If you own a PS3 it’s a must have, it’s one of the best games in this genre with by far the best storyline and beautiful graphics. You should all know or have heard about Resident Evil, it made its debut in 1991 on the Sony Playstation and was made a movie in 2002. The movie was not great but was successful enough to encourage the approval of a trilogy. To date, Resident Evil now has 4 movie titles, 6 games and 2 animations created by Capcom. If you’re a fan of zombie movies I think you should watch at least one of them.

Resident Evil (2002)
Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004)
Resident Evil: Extinction (2007)
Resident Evil: Afterlife (TBA)
Biohazard 4D Executer (2000)
Resident Evil: Degeneration (2008)

While I’m on the subject of movies and games you should also check out Guitar Hero 2, Kill Zone and Call of Duty 4, Defiance, "Hulk Vs."
